Further questions for reflection:
1. Calvin says that “The world was no doubt made, that it might be the theatre of the divine glory.” What is your favorite part of creation? What aspects of creation most move you to worship God? Where do you experience God’s glory in creation?
2. After reading these two passages what can we say about creation’s beginning and its future? For further study on its future, Read Revelation 21.
3. Read Genesis 1:28 & 2:15 (preferably in a couple different translations). What are the various tasks given to mankind?
4. Thinking as broadly as possible about your work (defining work as whatever it is we contribute to life/society/culture/family/neighbors/etc.):
a. How does your work contribute or participate in these tasks God has given humanity? (you might have to get creative or think big-picture on this one)
b. How could your work better or further the flourishing of God’s creation?

For the month of November, the Green Bean will be displaying collaborative community art work! What does this mean? We will have 3 meetings, in October, at the Bean with paint and canvas ready for neighbors to get together and team up and create a piece of art together. We will take pictures of the participants and get paragraph statements from them about their love of the Bean or the neighborhood or the project, and display them next to their finished pieces.
Day 1: Sunday, Oct 8 @ 1-2pm
Day 2: Thursday, Oct 12 @ 10-11am
Day 3: Tuesday, Oct 17 @ 5-6pm

 CG2017: You’re Invited!
At Made to Flourish, we believe the local church can serve as a primary agent of cultural renewal for the common good. The church, as God designed it, is the hope of the world! But what does it look like for the church, gathered and scattered, to be agents of hope and peace in our cities, our neighborhoods, and our workplaces?
