Sunday, September 17
Scripture: Psalm 86:8-10 and 15
Question: What is God?
Answer: God is the creator and sustainer of everyone and everything. He is eternal, infinite, and unchangeable in his power and perfection, goodness and glory, wisdom, justice, and truth. Nothing happens except through him and by his will.

Are you a student, teacher, school counselor, administrator, or in any other way involved in the education system? Please join us this Sunday (10/17) for a special commissioning prayer as the school year begins. We believe God has called you to this work, and sends you into the world of teaching and learning as partners in his redemptive work in the world. We are grateful for you and for your good work. |

Further questions for reflection:
- Why do you think the question is “what” and not “who” is God?
- How do we know what God is like?
- How would you describe God from verses 8-10 of Psalm 86?
- Read the rest of Psalm 86. How would you change or add to your description of God based on the rest of the Psalm?
- Why must we not take one aspect of God and make it ultimate? How can this be our tendency?
- What difference does the answer to this question make in your life at 10am tomorrow?

We will take pictures of the participants and get paragraph statements from them about their love of the Bean or the neighborhood or the project, and display them next to their finished pieces.
