This Sunday is World Hunger Sunday. It begins a season of learning through the God-changed stories of people living with shortages of food and education world-wide, which ends the week before Thanksgiving. This year, not only our kids will collect change for their Peter Fish through a family devotional, but we invite the entire congregation to take home a Peter Fish and read through an adult devotional with us.
The money collected will go to support World Renew, the internationally reputable relief and development organization of our denomination. If you want to give and aren’t able to take home a Peter Fish, you can download the Peter Fish app.
We’ll bring back our Peter Fish offering the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and celebrate the giving hearts of this congregation.

Crafting for a Cause
The Green Bean’s Stitch & Bitch group is spending this fall crafting for a cause. We want to use the skills and talents we have to bless our community by making scarves, hats, blankets, slippers, gloves, or other items in partnership with Sleepless in Seattle and other non-profits. We want the joy of our work to bless others in this upcoming winter. If you are a knitter, crocheter, sewer, or other artisan, and would like to participate, please join us on Tuesday evenings (5:30-7pm) at the Green Bean.
If you have questions, please contact Sarah Lewis-Assink at 253.266.3817 |
