It’s been a lovely, warm, dry summer of 2013. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have. It’s been refreshing for all of us to have family adventures, Greenwood Park picnics and some new members at church such as Amelia Mohrlang and Eva Lee Moses. This month we will be beginning to share some fresh ideas for small group connections at Sanctuary as well as getting set for our FALL RETREAT at SEABECK on the final weekend of September. I expect both new small groups and another great retreat to bring us to a new level of knowing one another, loving Jesus and loving our world more deeply. Thanks for being part of our journey together.
Also of note, Summer Mohrlang returns from maternity leave in early September. Welcome her back and go easy on her as she gets back in the saddle.
And, don’t forget the GREEN BEAN – we will be open soon and serving great coffee and food as well as serving Greenwood. We sure need you on board as a part of that, participating in the Ministry of Presence.
Beginning about the first of October, we are going to enter into a series based on John 10:10 where Jesus says, “I have come that you might have life…and life abundantly”. We are going to use a number of texts and topics and stories and arts and cultural interactions to talk about life as Jesus means for us to live looking at work, family, church, world-change, community involvement and even the topic of a Christian’s godly death. Our Creative Team is pretty excited to work together to bring some really strong ideas together for our mutual consideration and growth as Jesus-Followers.
So, there you have a few short words on what is and what shall be. Enjoy remainder of the summer. May the blue skies and bright sun fill your soul with the love and grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Much love,
Randy
