Making Space for God in our Relationships
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and miraculous signs done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
Acts 2:42-47 (TNIV)
Small Groups
Participating in small groups is one huge way folks at Sanctuary seek to Make Space for God in their
Relationships. Sanctuary small groups vary in size and focus but share a common purpose: to inspire one another to
love and growth in the grace of Jesus Christ. Most groups include elements of prayer and scripture study, and
share a willingness to welcome newcomers. As Sanctuary grows and changes it is expected that small groups will
provide the backbone of pastoral ministry: encouragement, support, accountability, and prayer.
We have a variety of short term (~4 weeks) as well as ongoing small groups at
Sanctuary. Each group is formatted a little differently (men only vs. women only vs. co-ed, Bible study vs.
contemporary Christian book study) in the hopes that everyone can find a group that challenges and encourages them.
